Welcome to our page covering the laminate Kashmir F0187 manufactured by Formica. This plain colour laminate is designated from the Formica® Collection – Plus Color range, but we like to refer it to as being in the Formica plain colour range. This colours range provides an inspirational choice of subtle, architecturally inspired neutrals, atmospheric hues and accent colours. We hope to expand the laminate information, products on our website over the next few months. And overtime you will find within our website this same laminate code attached to different collection. For example, F0187 Kashmir is also available in Vivix architectural panels by Formica and also within Formica Door collection. As you can see below, in reference to this page the Kashmir laminate is available in different finishes and we’ve included description on what each terminology means. You will also see displayed images for the Formica F0187 and some of the finishes available. Some of the main benefits of using this laminate from Formica are its easy to clean and maintain, hygienic, stain resistant and in HGP grade can be used for any postforming projects you have. The following is an explanation for any customers who don’t understand what postforming means: The term ‘postforming’ is used to describe the bending process applied to specially developed grades of laminate which, whilst possessing all the well-known properties of standard grade high pressure laminates, can also be formed into simple cylindrical concave or convex curves. Curved surfaces with their absence of visible seams are often more aesthetically pleasing than sharp edges on internal and external angles, and will eliminate joints in which dirt and water can accumulate. Thickness plays an important part in formability. In general, thin laminates are capable of being formed to tighter radii than thicker laminates; however, for a given thickness, flame retardant postforming laminates are less formable than non-FR postforming laminates. Unlike some postforming laminates which have a shelf-life, the formability of Formica® laminates does not deteriorate during long-term storage.
