Chipboard (sometimes referred to as particleboard) is an engineered wood product manufactured from wood chips, sawmills shavings, industrial wood waste and sawdust and is pressed using a synthetic resin. Chipboard is usually a three layer board, large chips in the middle and finer chips on the outside. One of the advantages of Chipboard (particle board) is that it offers a uniform, smooth and clean surface to work from. The three main common types of Chipboard are :
